I have already detailed on What To See And What To Do in Kuala Lumpur here. This article is to explain about the KL Hop-on Hop-off service by which you can save a lot of money during your Kuala Lumpur trip. The service has been already started in Penang as well, and see details here.
KL Hop-on Hop-off operates in the same way like other “Full Day or 48 hours” unlimited pass but only in dedicated buses. This city tour service is an easy one, that has 23 stops which cover more than 70 attractions. Please note, this is not a trip where you onboard a bus and cover all places. Once you have the 24/48 hrs pass, onboard to beautiful KL Hop-on Hop-off bus, there will be buses in every 20-30 minute interval, stop wherever you like to see the attractions. Once you finish that station, wait for next bus and proceed to next station. Yeah, it would be great helpful, if you can do a quick plan based on the tour map. The service is available 7 days a week including school holidays and public holidays.
You can buy tickets via online, on-board (from bus itself), from authorized agents/hotels or from KL Hop-On Hop-Off counters (Counters are located at Jalan Bukit Bintang (main counter at stop number 6), Malaysian Tourism Centre at Jalan Ampang, at KL Sentral (arrival hall) and at KLCC.) You may need to show your identity card to get the discount prize (like student card or MyCard) and children below five years old do not need to pay any fees. Always check for promotions as you may get super deals for your next trips.
One of the best advantange is that, these buses have stops at most of the Hotels and that will help you to start andย onboard from any station; see the list here.
The bus has opendeck option and if you are lucky and no raining, then the ride will be awesome with skyview. Also the buses are disable friendly I believe, which is a good feature for those who need special care.
